Dr. Josh Olmstead, DDS

Dr. Olmstead graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in May of 2006. Prior to that he attended Cleveland State Community College and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he majored in Chemistry. He married his lovely wife, Erika, in March 2005. They have 4 beautiful children, Natalie, Ainsley, Elle, and Caleb. He and his family attend Candies Creek Baptist Church where they are very active members.

Lisa

Office Manager, Registered Dental Assistant

Lisa is a Registered Dental Assistant. She is our Office Manager, Insurance Coordinator, and one of our Front Desk Administrators. She also helps out when needed as one of our chairside assistants. Lisa graduated from Chattanooga College Dental Assisting Program in July 2008 and has been a member of Olmstead Dental since August 2008. She is licensed by the Tennessee Board of Dentistry with certification of dental radiography, sealants, coronal polishing, and monitoring of nitrous oxide. Lisa and her husband, Anthony, have been married since July 2007 and have two children, Aiden and Lydia.

Yelena

Registered Dental Assistant, Front Desk Administrator

Yelena is a Registered Dental Assistant. She is one of our Front Desk Administrators, but you may also see her as one of our Chairside Assistants. She has been a member of Olmstead Dental since May 2015. She is licensed by the Tennessee Board of Dentistry with certification in dental radiography and monitoring of nitrous oxide. Yelena is also bilingual. She grew up in a big Ukrainan family which helped her be fluent in English and Russian. She is more than happy to help translate if needed. Yelena and her husband, Tim, have been married since April 2017. They have two beautiful daughters, Naomi and Elliana. 

Megan

Registered Dental Assistant

Megan is a Registered Dental Assistant. She is one of our Chairside/Front Desk Assistants and has been a member of Olmstead Dental since August 2018. She graduated from Chattanooga State Community College Dental Assisting program in 2015. Megan is licensed by the Tennessee Board of Dentistry with certification in dental radiography, sealants, coronal polishing, and monitoring of nitrous oxide. Her and her husband, Matt, have been married since September 2015. She loves animals and is passionate about saving mother earth by recycling and encouraging others to do so. They welcomed their first child, Emilia Rose in September 2021. 

Michaela

Registered Dental Assistant

Michaela is a Registered Dental Assistant. She is one of our Chairside Assistants and has been a member of Olmstead Dental since October 2019. Michaela is licensed by the Tennessee Board of Dentistry with certification in dental radiography, sealants, and monitoring of nitrous oxide. Her and her husband Corey have been married since 2015 and welcomed their son Porter to their family in October 2020. 

Yadi

Registered Dental Assistant

Yadi is a Registered Dental Assistant. She is one of our Chairside Assistants and has been a member of Olmstead Dental since July 2021. She graduated from Chattanooga State Community College Dental Assisting program in 2021. Yadi is licensed by the Tennessee Board of Dentistry with certification in dental radiography, sealants, coronal polishing, and monitoring of nitrous oxide. She is very active in her church and family is very important to her. 

Chloe

Dental Assistant

Chloe is one of our Practical Dental Assistants and has been with Olmstead Dental since 2019. She can be seen all over the office helping front desk, chairside assisting, or sterilization. Chloe is also a college student pursing the requirements to continue her career in the dental field as a Dental Hygienist. She has a huge heart for animals! Her doodle, Hank, is her sidekick. At the office, Lucy and Chloe are best friends. Don't be surprised if you come into the office and see Chloe at the front desk with Lucy in her lap! 

Jamie

Registered Dental Hygienist

Jamie is one of our full time Dental Hygienists and has been a member of Olmstead Dental since September 2021. She may be new to our office, but she has been a hygienist for over 26 years and is licensed by the Tennessee Board of Dentistry to admister local anesthetics and nitrous oxide. She, along side of her husband Michael, and their five daughters live in Decatur, TN.  

Mary

Registered Dental Hygienist

Mary is one of our part time Dental Hygienists and has been a member of Olmstead Dental since October 2020. She has been a hygeinist for 24 years and is licensed by the Tennessee Board of Dentistry. She and her husband, Andrew, have been married since 1993. They have two kids, Alex and Gabi. They love the outdoors and traveling. Mary is not only a hygientist, but she also has an art degree with a love for making pottery.  

Laura

Registered Dental Hygienist

Laura is one of our part time Dental Hygienists and has been a member of Olmstead Dental since October 2016.  She graduated from ETSU in 2016 with her Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene. She is licensed by the Tennessee Board of Dentistry to admister local anesthetics and nitrous oxide. Laura and her husband, Ben, have been married since 2014 and have two kids, Asher and Avery. When Laura is not at the office, you can find her out on the family farm!  

Keari

Registered Dental Hygienist

Keari is one of our full time Dental Hygienists and has been a member of Olmstead Dental since August 2006. She started her career in the dental field in 2006 when she graduated from Chattanooga State Community College Dental Assisting Program. She later decided to continue her education in the dental field and graduated from Hiwassee College with an Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2015. She is licensed by the Tennessee Board of Dentistry to admister local anesthetics and nitrous oxide. Keari and her husband, Matt, have one son, Zane. When Keari is not in the office, you can find her on the river enjoying the sunshine and a good book.

Lucy

Therapy Dog (in training)

Lucy is our therapy dog in training. She is, our hygienst, Keari's goldendoodle. She can be seen sleeping at the front desk, wondering from room to room as the office greeter, or working hard to help calm our patients during procedures. She loves everyone and gets so excited when kids come to visit her at the office. She is usally in office two days a week. If you want Lucy at your next appointment please call to let us know!
